Introducing the Pure Pause, a detox retreat with a difference

The festive season can leave us feeling full, and the turn of the calendar brings with it a renewed determination to focus on our health and wellbeing. But it’s not just the festive season that impacts how we feel in our skin; today our bodies are building up toxicity all year round from pollutants, EMF, household cleaning chemicals, plastics, cosmetics and more. This is before we even consider the substances we ingest, our food, drinks, and medication.

When you add to this stress, a primary cause of toxicity in the body, it is easy to see how the natural balance of the body can be out of harmony. When the natural balance is disturbed the body becomes more acidic, and slowly deteriorates unnoticed, or perhaps intentionally ignored!

There is always a progression, initially, you may experience this toxicity as joint pain, muscle stiffness, or low energy. Over time this toxicity can lead to high cholesterol, high blood pressure and in more chronic cases diabetes, cancer and heart disease.

With this in mind, I am excited to be launching a new retreat in February 2019, called the Pure Pause. Set in the mountains in Northern Italy, overlooking an idyllic lake, the Pure Pause retreat is a detox with a difference – an invitation for you to become the master of your own health.

This ten-day retreat is designed for you to intuitively explore your health and well being, discovering what optimum health means for you. Gently unwinding layers of stress in the physical body, releasing accumulated waste in the gut, supporting fluids to eliminate effectively and stretching and opening the connective tissue around the muscles, not only creates a more free-moving body and alkalises the internal system, but also allows Chi to flow freely through your energy channels once again giving you greater energy and resourcefulness.

Pause Detox Principles

We believe that rather than starving the body to cleanse, your body needs extra energy to detox. We create space at the Pure Pause for you to disconnect from the stresses and strains of everyday life so you can rest while you cleanse. We then ensure you consume three healthy nutritious meals a day, plus additional fruit if you feel hungry to fuel your body.

The Pure Pause works on our understanding of three simple principles:

1. PREPARE

When you live in a stressful, toxic environment, it becomes ‘normal’.  We understand how vital it is for your soul to arrive, your mind to slow down and your body to adjust to a different pace. At the Pure Pause, you begin to prepare for your cleanse with a peaceful environment, digital detox, and nourishing food.

2. CLEANSE

At the Pure Pause, we use a combination of meditation to calm your mind, yin yoga to open your energy channels and cleansing herbs and tonics to gently detox your physical system.

3. STRENGTHEN

Hands-on healing, personal coaching, Qi Gong and tonifying herbs are then used to support both your inner system and your physical body as you prepare to return back to everyday life.
The Pure Pause is more than just a detox; it is a spiritual awakening reconnecting you to the greater life force that is available to us all.
